Community
Involvement
The Agility Club of Evansville has been
donating to rescue organizations for several years. We have
also formed a community fundraising committee where the profits have
gone to those in need close to home as well. For each agility
judge at our trials, we have been making donations to a favorite dog
charity or rescue of their choice.
Our members feel that it is important to give back to those
who are far less fortunate than we are. And we hope to
continue this practice as we continue to have fun with our best friends
through agility!
Susan
G Komen
The Agility Club of Evansville
(ACE) holds their NADAC (North American Dog Agility Council) agility
trial one weekend in September in conjunction with our Q for the Cure
program.
Our Q for the Cure Program
raises money for Susan G. Komen. The Agility Club of Evansville sells
shirts with the Q for the Cure logo embroidered in pink throughout the
Fall and Winter.
We continue to dedicate
our Q for the Cure program to the memory of past member, Polly Fisher
who passed away from breast cancer in the summer of 2009.
Rainbow
Bridge Donations
In
2011, ACE recreated a program where we would make donations to an
organization of a members choice when one of their agility dogs crosses
the Rainbow Bridge.
ACE
made a donation to EVIE Sue's Pet Oxygen Mask Fund in memory of all our
dogs that crossed prior to 2011. EVIE Sue's Pet Oxygen Mask Fund was
created to supply every fire station oxygen masks in Vanderburgh County.
